Pampas grass (Cortaderia selloana) is one of the easiest plants to germinate and produces the well-known fluffy plumes. Here are the germination and growing instructions.

When to sow pampas grass
Spring is the best time. Sow in small pots or directly in the garden.
Planting depth
The seeds need light: scatter them on the surface of well-draining soil and do not cover them completely.
Germination temperature
Ideally 19–27°C. Germination takes 14–35 days.
Watering
Keep the soil moist but do not overwater. Mature plants are drought-tolerant.
Light and transplanting
It needs full sun. Transplant at 10 cm; in the garden allow 1.5–2 m between plants, as it grows large.
