Madagascar Baobab Seeds – Adansonia madagascariensis
The Madagascar baobab, Adansonia madagascariensis, is a remarkable exotic tree with a distinctive trunk and an unmistakable silhouette. Madagascar baobab seeds give you the chance to start your own plants and get to know a species different from the African Adansonia digitata. It also lends itself to bonsai training, where the trunk and canopy provide the main decorative interest.
A distinctive trunk and an exotic silhouette
Shaping it into a small tree is rewarding for the grower. The species loves light and warmth, and its ability to store water in the trunk is part of the natural cycle of baobabs. Seasonal leaf drop is part of this behaviour and does not by itself mean the plant has been lost.
In suitable conditions it can become a standout piece in a collection of potted exotic plants. Choose it for the joy of growing from seed and the chance to bring out its unique character over time. It needs protection from low temperatures and is not presented as a frost-hardy tree.
Pack of 4 seeds
Your purchase includes 4 Adansonia madagascariensis seeds.
