Honesty (Lunaria) is a beautiful plant that flowers from April, with lovely purple-lilac blooms. Its young leaves and shoots are edible and can be eaten raw in salads or with other vegetables. The plant belongs to the mustard family, and its seeds can be ground into a mustard-like condiment.
Lunaria, or honesty, is a plant in the Brassicaceae family, native to central and southern Europe. It is usually grown as an ornamental in gardens, and its silvery, translucent seed pods are prized for dried arrangements. The species has now adapted to many climates beyond its natural range.
This is an open-pollinated variety of lunaria/honesty. You can save the seeds from your plants and sow them.
For best results, combine with one of our fertilisers (use once a month after the first month from planting).
Germination instructions for lunaria/honesty are included.
