The most classic lawn variety: Festuca arundinacea (tall fescue).
This lawn is suitable for warm, sunny areas. It is very tough, tolerating high temperatures and drought as well as low temperatures and cold. Festuca arundinacea is uniform and highly competitive with other grass varieties. It grows very successfully in Greece, has broad, tough leaves and a deep, extensive root system that withstands heavy wear and foot traffic. The best mowing height is around 4-5 cm.
The best sowing season is spring. In general, the sowing months are February, March, April, May, June, September, October and November.
