The striking Juniperus, or juniper, is a genus in the cypress family that includes around 60 species of aromatic evergreen shrubs and trees.
Juniperus is one of the most striking ornamental conifers, ideal for your garden or balcony.
This evergreen shrub, Juniperus procumbens "Nana", has branches spreading from the centre that create a beautiful carpet of green.
Juniper is known for its great variety of forms, sizes and habits, while the amazing seasonal colour changes in its foliage make it unique. When it starts growing it is a vivid green, and as it matures it turns a striking blue-green. It really stands out in winter, when its blue-green can take on a bold purple tint!
This dwarf plant is very easy to care for and very resistant to disease and drought.
It is an excellent choice for training as a bonsai!!
