Duranta, widely known as white skyflower, is a striking shrub prized for its fragrant white flowers borne in dense clusters.
Its small, bell-like flowers appear in abundance through spring and summer, creating a stunning display.
It is a large, graceful shrub with dark green leaves. Its small white flowers form long, hanging clusters that look like cascades. After flowering, it produces striking orange berries that stay on the plant for a long time, adding extra colour to the garden. Please note: the berries are toxic if eaten – keep away from children and pets.
Duranta grows quickly, but with the right pruning it can be kept to the size you want! Prune lightly after flowering to keep its shape and encourage new growth.
It copes well with high temperatures and drought, but prefers sunny positions and well-drained soil.
Duranta repens 'Alba' is a beautiful plant that offers continuous flowering and eye-catching berries. It is easy to grow and can be used in many ways in the garden – for hedges, borders, or as a specimen plant in a pot.
*Sowing and growing instructions for Duranta – SkyFlower are included with every order.
