Organic Phaseolus vulgaris Slenderette is a classic, reliable dwarf (bush) bean, ideal for eating fresh and for the vegetable garden. The plant is low-growing and needs no support, producing slim, straight, dark green pods about 13–15 cm long, with a smooth, stringless texture – tender green beans from the very first picking.
This variety is very productive and reliable, maturing around 50–65 days after sowing, and does well in sunny spots with well-drained soil.
Slenderette is resistant to several diseases and thrives outdoors as well as in large pots or raised beds.
The beans are ideal for eating fresh, steamed, stir-fried or in salads, with a rich flavour and crunchy texture.
