Growing instructions

• Fertiliser: a balanced fertiliser designed for strawberries, applied according to the instructions on the pack.
• Watering: regular watering, especially during hot, dry spells. Aim to keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy.

Strawberry plants are winter-hardy perennials. The plant flowers in May and June, and once flowering is over, it's time to pick your strawberries! Plant it in sun or partial shade. Strawberry plants need water, so give them extra during dry spells.

Like ordinary strawberries, the giant strawberry is rich in vitamin C, fibre and antioxidants. It also contains vitamin K, magnesium and potassium, making it a nutritious, wholesome fruit.
