Calla lilies are fairly easy to grow. They prefer sunny or lightly shaded spots and well-drained, moist soil. Plant them in spring, once the risk of frost has passed.
Coloured calla lilies are not frost-hardy: in areas with cold winters, lift the bulbs in autumn and store them frost-free, or grow them in pots that can be moved indoors.
