Adenium obesum, or the desert rose, is a truly striking plant – you’ll love it the moment you see it!
It is a succulent native to Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, available in many varieties.
This striking succulent is fairly slow-growing and is especially known for its distinctive swollen, woody stem (caudex).
The desert rose produces masses of striking, trumpet-shaped flowers in intense pink, red or coral, mainly in summer.
Many people keep it as a houseplant, while others train it as a bonsai, thanks to its distinctive succulent trunk and slender leaves.
Adenium obesum loves sunny positions, is very drought-tolerant and needs very little care.
