What to Plant in November

What to Plant in November

Dear friends of Flowerstore.gr,

We hope you are well and feeling creative!

November is well under way! We are one step away from winter, and this is the month for clearing out old crops and planting many new varieties. Most of the groundwork is done now, as the autumn rain helps loosen the soil.

In November we harvest what is left of the summer crops, such as late tomatoes, peppers and courgettes. We also start picking plenty of tasty, nutritious autumn vegetables, such as cabbage, lettuce, kohlrabi, broccoli and cauliflower.

Below we present the vegetables you can plant this month to fill your table! You will also see which ornamental plants and bulbs to choose to bring colour and fragrance to your garden and balcony.

VEGETABLES

November is one of the best months for sowing, transplanting and harvesting many vegetables.

AROMATIC PLANTS AND HERBS

This is also when the first fruit appears on citrus trees such as grapefruit, lemons and oranges, as well as on superfood fruits such as avocados and pomegranates.

ORNAMENTAL PLANTS

November is the best month to sow ornamental plant seeds and plant bulbs, bringing colour and joy at the end of winter, when they burst into bloom.
