Autumn-planted bulbs are a great way to fill your garden or balcony with colour in spring. With a little effort you can enjoy abundant flowers for months.<\/p>\n

When to plant autumn bulbs<\/h2>\n

The best time is from September to November. This gives the bulbs time to root before winter and flower in spring.<\/p>\n

How to plant bulbs \u2013 planting depth<\/h2>\n

  1. Choose a spot with well-draining soil.<\/li>\n
  2. Dig a hole two to three times as deep as the bulb is tall.<\/li>\n
  3. Place the bulb with the pointed tip facing up.<\/li>\n
  4. Fill with soil and firm gently.<\/li>\n
  5. Water well.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Watering and care<\/h2>\n

    Autumn bulbs do not need much water: water only when the soil is dry. During flowering you can water a little more to make the blooms last longer.<\/p>\n
