One day his beloved was killed, and Farhad, overcome with grief, rode his horse over a cliff. His blood spread over the ground where he fell, and every drop turned into a beautiful tulip. From that moment on, the tulip became the emblem of perfect love!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The Dutch are famous for their great passion for tulips \u2013 a love affair that has lasted more than 400 years. The tulip arrived in the Netherlands around 1600 and has been a national symbol ever since; it is no coincidence that it is known as the \u201cland of tulips\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Today more than half of the fields in the Netherlands are given over to bulbs that produce millions of tulips, two thirds of which are exported worldwide, mainly to the United States, Japan and Germany. Other bulbs vie with the tulip for production, too, such as gladioli, hyacinths, lilies and daffodils.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align:justify\">Where to Plant Tulips<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">In southern areas, tulips need full sun or light shade. These positions help them grow faster and keep flowering for longer. When tulip bulbs are planted in full sun, their flowers take on especially brilliant, eye-catching colours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"autumn tulip bulbs\" src=\"https:\/\/flowerstore.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/toulipes-arhtro2.jpg\" style=\"height:427px; width:640px\"><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:justify\">How to Plant Tulip Bulbs   <\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Choose firm bulbs of a good size. You can check the height of each tulip on the packaging. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Choose a clean spot, then plant each bulb about 10 cm deep with the pointed tip facing upwards, 15\u201320 cm apart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"> Water well after planting. Tip: only water again once the soil has dried out properly, to prevent the bulbs from rotting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"> Once the shoots appear, it is wise to feed them to boost growth and flowering \u2013 for example with Fytopan liquid fertiliser for flowering plants.
