Here are the basic germination and growing instructions.<\/p>\n<h2>When to sow tomatoes<\/h2>\n<p>Sow in seed trays or small pots from January to March, so the plants can go outside after the last cold spell (April\u2013May).<\/p>\n<h2>Planting depth<\/h2>\n<p>Sow 2\u20133 seeds per cell, 0.5 cm deep, in seed compost or soil enriched with compost.<\/p>\n<h2>Germination temperature<\/h2>\n<p>Ideally 20\u201325\u00b0C. Seeds sprout in 6\u201312 days. Below 15\u00b0C germination is very slow.<\/p>\n<h2>Watering<\/h2>\n<p>Keep the soil evenly moist, not soggy. In the garden, water deeply and regularly at the roots without wetting the leaves.<\/p>\n<h2>Light and transplanting<\/h2>\n<p>It needs 6\u20138 hours of sun.
