Das Laub besteht aus kleinen, aber dicken, gl\u00e4nzend gr\u00fcnen Bl\u00e4ttern, die eine eindrucksvolle, dichte, ovale Krone bilden. In der Bl\u00fctezeit ist die Carmona mit wei\u00dfen Bl\u00fcten und winzigen Beeren \u00fcbers\u00e4t, deren Farbe von hellgr\u00fcn bis leuchtend rot reicht. Ein weiterer Grund f\u00fcr ihre Beliebtheit als Bonsai ist ihr eindrucksvoller, kr\u00e4ftiger Stamm, der ihr besonderen Charme verleiht. Die Carmona retusa stammt aus S\u00fcd- und S\u00fcdostasien, unter anderem aus S\u00fcdchina, Taiwan und Indonesien.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dann gibt es den Podocarpus-Bonsai (Steineibe)<\/strong>, auch Buddhistische Kiefer genannt \u2013 ein immergr\u00fcnes Nadelgeh\u00f6lz aus der Familie der Steineibengew\u00e4chse (Podocarpaceae), das aus Japan und S\u00fcdostchina stammt. Seine Krone ist sehr buschig und erinnert stark an eine Kiefer. Zur Fruchtzeit tr\u00e4gt er h\u00fcbsche, fleischige, violette Fr\u00fcchte. Der Stamm ist schlank, und die nadelartigen Bl\u00e4tter treiben hellgr\u00fcn aus und f\u00e4rben sich sp\u00e4ter dunkelgr\u00fcn \u2013 so ver\u00e4ndert sich die Farbwirkung im Raum im Lauf der Zeit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weiter geht es mit dem bezaubernden Zelkova-Bonsai (Zelkove)<\/strong> , der oft mit der verwandten Chinesischen Ulme verwechselt wird.
